Watkins Glen International to host Rush Hour at The Glen, free summer concert series
WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (June 5, 2018) – Watkins Glen International will host Rush Hour at The Glen, a free, three-event happy hour concert series this summer, providing fans an opportunity to listen to local, live music and learn more about the upcoming event season at the track.
“This is a great opportunity to not only give fans exposure to our facility, but diversify our offerings here at Watkins Glen International,” WGI President Michael Printup said. “Along with the great racing, this is something to give back to the fans because they truly are first here at WGI.”
Free and open to the public from 6-8 p.m., the first of three Rush Hour at The Glen events will take place Thursday, June 7 featuring the band RUST at the Esses Party Deck. Fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and snacks, $2 beers, $3 wine and $4 drinks. The other two shows are scheduled for July 12 and July 26, respectively, with more details to come.
RUST is a classic rock cover band from the Southern Tier of New York State. Consisting of veteran, professional players that have been a part of the areas’ music scene since the 1970s, RUST has spent the past several years refining their sound to become the premier classic rock band. Their set-list contains covered songs from Rush to Aerosmith, Led Zepplin to Toto.
